Jewelgirl...PA was one of many places that Poles settled here in the US.  I think it depended a lot on one's occupation.  My weavers came to Philadelphia because of the factories, as did the city-dwellers from Warsaw.  Cities were good places to find work.  I know that others went to "upstate" PA and the Pittsburgh area for the coal mines and steel factories.  Overall, I don't think that PA had the highest number of Polish immigrants...not sure, but it may have been either Chicago or Detroit.</description>
