When my great grandmother came to Canada, she travelled with her children and grandchildren. Great grandfather had already come to Canada, I believe but I haven&#039;t been able to locate his voage. I am sure she was anxious to see her husband again.]]></description>

Jewelgirl...PA was one of many places that Poles settled here in the US.  I think it depended a lot on one&#039;s occupation.  My weavers came to Philadelphia because of the factories, as did the city-dwellers from Warsaw.  Cities were good places to find work.  I know that others went to &quot;upstate&quot; PA and the Pittsburgh area for the coal mines and steel factories.  Overall, I don&#039;t think that PA had the highest number of Polish immigrants...not sure, but it may have been either Chicago or Detroit.]]></description>
