This is a beautiful tribute to the beloved Pope John Paul II.  His story is one of trial, perseverance and love that can inspire all of us, whether we are Catholic with Polish roots, or any other heritage and/or religion.

Thanks so much for sharing this within your focus on Poland.  The poem that you shared is my favorite by the young man Karol Wojtyła.

I cannot believe how quickly these three years have passed since we &quot;said, &#039;Good-bye&#039;&quot; to Pope John Paul II.  

&quot;...so many years without you–
how many have passed out of sight?&quot;

He made such a mark on the hearts of many throughout the world.  &quot;...can such loving cease?&quot;  I think not.
