I realize that this was written some time ago.... I have some questions or thoughts or whatever who may wish to call them...

I have a Wincenty (Vincent) Marion Sieradzki married to a Jozefa (Josephine) about 1912. Vincent was born 30 Mar 1888, Poland, died Mar 1969, McKeesport. Vincent is the sister of my great-grandmother, Victoria.
Later on he ran a grocery/butcher shop on 5th Avenue, in McKeesport. The shops and houses are no longer there, as a freeway overpass was built over the area.

My Jozefa was born abt. 1891, Poland and died in 1964, McKeesport.

My question.... Is your Josephine the same as mine? I have her maiden name as Klimowicz, with her parents as Teodor and Maria.

Wendy - thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Claudia - thank you for the info. I was aware of them, but I haven't had an opportunity to use them. They may have changed the name - I found a link to the McKeesport Heritage Center at http://www.mckeesportheritage.org/

I just recently found your blog. Were you aware of the McKeesport Historical Society? I just learned of it this week, when I was talking to a researcher at the LDS Church in Plum PA.

I did not look for a web site but have their phone number 412 678 1832. I am searching for family in Duquesne PA which is just across the river from McKeesport.
