I am an admirer of your humor and your beautiful writing. This is without question the best article on “What The COG Means To Me!” You captured the essence of the COG and its sense of community.

I didn’t realize your participation started with the 40th COG. Why, it seems as if you’ve always been here. A fixture!

I am also honored that you selected one of my articles to feature. Auntie Em is a true and very personal story. The entire memory still scares the bejeebers out of me.

I don’t see myself as a funny person. I tell my husband all the time, “I’m not a funny person!”. While I do have a good sense of humor, am quick to laugh, and easily amused, I just don’t see myself as a funny person. I don’t tell jokes well and I don’t think I’m particularly good at telling funny stories either.

Of all the emotions you could have said my writing made you feel, laughter is the one I would have thought would have been last on the list.

Now I may have to give myself a little more credit in the funny category. I’m blown away by your citing a funny line that I wrote! You’ve made my day, my week, and most likely my month!!! I just might have to print out what you wrote and show it around to my friends… “Look! I made someone laugh!”

I know this will probably sound strange, but I’m actually very proud that someone who is as talented a humorous writer as you are would find something I wrote as funny.
