I'm really thankful for Google as well. It is so much more than just a search engine. It is a source for a large number of digitalized books. I've used Google Books to find my ancestor in Washington DC. The book publised in about 1887 told me how much my ancestor made per hour and how many hours he worked in a particular year. Read about it at Google Books and Genealogy.
